I have been blogging for well over a year now and along the way I’ve discovered many fantastic design and creativity blogs. I’ve wanted to thank the authors for their commitment for a long time now, so consider this post an official tip of the hat and slap on the back from me.
Some of the blogs I list below I am an active commenter on and know the authors personally - others I am a silent but appreciative lurker. One thing all these blogs have in common is that in some way over the past twelve months they have inspired me.

However, if there are any sites and blogs that inspire you and are worthy of a mention, please post them in the comments below - I’d love to check them out.
PS - as this article is the offical ‘launch post’ my new blog, I’d love it if you would consider adding this article to your social bookmarking site of choice.

Thanks for the list, Just Creative Design is among very good company.
An excellent list, Aaron, and I’d say the same without my two blogs included.
I’ve linked my name to the ‘top 50 graphic design blogs’, listed on davidairey.com.
Best of luck with your new blog!
Nice work with this site, Aaron. I love the clean design.
Also, I feel very humbled to be included in this list. Dugg and Stumbled!

thanks for the mention, Aaron. Lots of great resources to check out.
Congratulations with the launch of your new blog. I expect to see as many striking articles from it as its design.
Aaron, thanks for including me in your list, and best of luck with this new site! It looks great, and I especially dig the background graphic in the footer.
Excellent list! You’ve reminded me of a few I’ve neglected to add to my RSS reader. Also reminds me I need to mention the launch of your new site! Congrats!
Site looks great in IE6 now, btw
The sidebar is much better and looks like I imagined it should. One tiny problem: the RSS button and “Subscribe via RSS” down at the bottom on the right side has the “RSS” wrapping to the next line over top of the button image. Probably just need to make its content box a few pixels bigger?
Beautiful site design! Love it! And thank you for the honor of being included in this list!
Jacob - Thanks for your support with helping me raise awareness of my new site. Much appreciated.
David - Honestly, I don’t there’s many people who could write a top X list of design blogs without mentioning you! However, for all the praise you reap as a designer/blogger, you make up for in criticism for the football team you support…
Armen - Again many thanks for the support you’ve offered in getting this site of the ground. I owe you one.
Randa - No problem - I know I haven’t commented on your site for a while but I am still reading.
Vivien - Yep. A striking site is the easy bit. Regular striking articles is going to be a lot harder. I’ll try my best though and I can do a lot worse than learn from you.
Chris - Thanks for stopping by. Glad you like the footer - I wanted to give readers something to scroll to the bottom for.
Lauren - Ah, yes good ol IE6. I spent a while last night making it ‘IE6 acceptable’ before I launched the site. I’m aware there’s still a few niggles mainly with PNGs which I plan to iron out over the next few days/week. Thanks for your help in pointing these out. ![]()

Great list a must have feed base for any designer
Hi Aaron! Good work, and best of luck.
Toon - Cheers mate!
Hey Asgeir - Long time no speak. Hows the course going?
Aaron, I couldn’t help but notice the comment to Mr. Airey about a football team … which team is it? I’m wondering whether I might be an enemy too, being a two decade ManU supporter!!
You, Armen, are a good man who has just gone up mightily in my estimation:
See this link
David on the other hand, supports that other team in red not too far down the road from Old Trafford.
Come on, Roma! ![]()
Hi Aaron,
Very useful collection. Thanks.
This a list of very good sites. The one that I liked the most was “design adaptations”.
Ah…David, David, David….tut tut!!
I suppose there’s little we can do, Aaron. From my experience, such people are a lost cause!
Very good selection of Design Blogs! A lot of inspiration!
Szabi - No problem. Many thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Navtej - Thanks for commenting. I’m sure Charity from DA will be very happy reading that
Fubiz - Glad you enjoyed the article. I hope I can dish up some more of the same.
Armen - I don’t know, maybe when we defeat them in the final in Moscow, then he’ll realise the error of his ways.
Just you concentrate on Barcelona, mate. No easy match. ![]()
Aaron–wow. I’m humbled and grateful that you’ve included me in this list. Really flattered. Thank you.
And ( it’s been so long ) the new ( relatively to me ) blog design is great. Love it.
Now, if I could only catch up with my critiques and get mine redesigned.–If.
Thanks again.
Marc
Hey Marc hows it going? Thanks for the kind words re this design. And don’t be humbled man, UTE is great!
Thanks for the list. There is some wonderful websites online here.
Hi Aaron, good to see you blogging again and thanks for the mention
Hey Tara - Good to see you around here
No problem re linking to you - I might not comment as much but I am still an avid reader.
This is an amazing list of blogs, designers and I love this post. I think 20 out of the 25 blogs I have in my rss feed, Smashing Magazine takes top prize for me.
Hi Chad - Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Smashing Magazine certainly is a guaranteed quality resource - they always pull off amazing posts. Nice blog of your own by the way - I’ve added it to my RSS reader so see you around ![]()
Very creative and inspirational indeed. Creating these kind of designs would somehow reflects on the life of the designer how enthusiastic and inspired he is in his life. This site has been stumbled and dugg up.
