Saying “thank you”

Thank you

When I began this blog earlier this year, I made a few pledges to myself. One was to refrain from ‘personal’ posts and instead strive to solve a problem or pose a question with every article. Another was to commit to a regular posting pattern and another was not to apologise, or even mention it, if I did happen to slip out of that pattern.

Seven weeks since my last posted article and I just feel rude to carry on without some kind of update with where the hell I’ve been - so I’m throwing out the rulebook today.

I’ll stop short of apologising for my low profile though, as the truth is I’ve just been fantastically busy - and I’m not going to apologise for that. Ten weeks ago I started my new life as a self employed web designer stroke developer stroke techie-creative hybrid type-person. I’m still working on the job title, but I’m pleased to report it’s been going really well - better than I could ever have hoped.

However, starting a new business has proven a slightly more time consuming affair than I had anticipated, which is why I’ve been a bit quiet - but I’m sure you understand all that.

However, it struck me that as my subscriber numbers continue to rise, without me actually writing or doing anything to directly influence that rise, that I owe it to all my RSS subscribers to at least say, “Thank you.”

I’m very glad to read that your freelancing is going so well. I think most of your readers here can easily relate to how busy freelancer’s life can get. I have difficulties in keeping up with my blog as well. So no worries there.

Saying that, I hope you get a chance to carve out some time for your blog as I’m really look forward to reading some new posts from you ;) All the best!

Great to read your subscriber base is growing without regular posting. Excellent.

I am so pleased to hear your freelancing has got off to such a good start! Everyone can relate to being too busy especially in the first few months of starting out.

Looking forward to future posts!

Vivien, David and Lucinda - many thanks for stopping by, it’s great to know you guys are keeping an eye on my blog even when my participation has been a bit low of late.

As for future posts, watch this space!
